Turtles All The Way Down
Turtles All The Way Down is the principle that the same three-Boundary analysis (Computational, Cognitive, Causal) applies at every scale. A person is an Agent. A team is an Agent. A company is an Agent. A biological cell is an Agent. If the entity senses, models, and acts, it qualifies — and the same framework vocabulary applies to it regardless of scale.
The principle means the framework does not need separate theories for individuals, teams, organizations, and biological systems. The same diagnostic tools work everywhere. A Composition that meets the Agent test is itself an Agent at a larger scale, and its Boundaries can be analyzed with the same vocabulary used for its individual members. The recursion is the point: there is no bottom level where the framework stops applying, and no top level where it needs different concepts.
